Barcelona president Joan Laporta confirmed on Thursday that Ronald Koeman had to go to hospital after suffering an anxiety attack.
The Dutch coach still doesn’t know if he’ll continue at Barcelona next season and the stress of the current situation led to him having the attack.
“He had an episode which led to him going to hospital, but he’s okay. I spoke to him” said Laporta.
The initial report of Koeman having to go to hospital came from Fox Sports.
Koeman wants to continue at Barcelona and feels he’s done a good job so far, but he feels that he isn’t being treated well by the club’s directors
He won the Copa del Rey in his first season and was in the title race until Matchday 35, but the team’s collapse in the last two weeks have come at a cost.
Koeman thinks good work has been done under the circumstances, but Laporta believes there are other options out there who could have the squad performing better.
